Our charity events continued over the weekend and we have loads of people to thank for helping out – in some cases, the fundraising efforts proved to be a very painful process!
On Sunday, Andrew and his friends Jamie and Luke took part in ‘The Great Male Wax’ at Friars Square Shopping centre in Aylesbury and raised nearly £1,700 – an event kindly organised by Michelle Bradford and Helen Miller. You can read more here.
Massive thanks also to Andrea, Jenny, Emma, Katie, Hannah and Kate who organised the charity fundraising evening at the Duke of York in Weybourne on Saturday. We enjoyed a fantastic barbecue organised by the Tweeds and sponsored by Quality Meat Co in Windlesham and George Arthur butchers in Lightwater. We also had a raffle, with fantastic prizes donated by a number of people. Particular thanks to Lorraine and Neil for allowing us to use the venue. The event raised an awesome £1,100. Thank you!
And finally, thanks to Jimmy, Sue, Matt, Vicky D, Vicky HJ, Helen, Jo, Tracey, Michelle, Laura, Debra, Mel and her sister who spent three days last week collecting on behalf of Sophie and Kids ‘n’ Cancer at Sainsbury’s, Watchmoor Park, Camberley. They raised almost £1,200 despite the awful weather!
