10 days until Sophie’s surgery

Hi everyone, today is 10 days until Sophie has her life-saving surgery in the US, and she’s due to fly out there this Sunday! We couldn’t have done this without you.

There are still a lot of questions around the surgery and whether or not Sophie will require this in two separate operations or just one.  We won’t know until she is in New York and has a scan there to determine the exact condition and location of her tumours.

We still need to raise around £50,000 to ensure that every eventuality for the surgery is covered – Sophie may require more time in ICU, or should any complications arise, an air ambulance home.  There may even be the requirement for further treatment down the line, we just don’t know at this point. We need to ensure that we have the funds available to cover this if necessary.  Any funds that we raise over and above what Sophie requires will go to help other children like her.

Over the next few days we would like to share Sophie’s video with you all again, and ask that you share it with your friends and family.  The short link to the film is here: http://bit.ly/N6t7ZR.

We would also like to share the fantastic charity single as widely as possible, with all proceeds raised by the song going to Sophie’s campaign.  The link to this is here: https://sophierobertsstory.com/charity-single-shout-it-from-the-rooftops/.

In the run-up to her operation, we’d like to build as much interest in Sophie’s story as possible.  We can only do this with your help! If all of our friends and family share the story, and their friends and family share the story, our reach should rise dramatically and very quickly.

Thank you so much for doing this and everything you’ve already done to help, it really means a lot to us.

Ruth and Andrew
